The mission statement of our company, “We are dedicated to improving the quality of your life” is not directed only toward our clients. As a company, we want to improve the quality of life for our employees and our communities as well. We feel one way to accomplish that is to give employees incentives to volunteer with local charity organizations. Our program, Volunteering Counts! is active in our Casa Grande office, and our Mesa satellite office. We have tried to keep it as simple as possible so all employees can participate and earn prizes for their volunteer work.
What is it?
Volunteering Counts! is the company’s program to encourage employees to volunteer their time at local charity organizations. The first volunteer session will start September 1, 2015 and continue through March 31, 2016.
What will I get if I volunteer my time?
Great question! Aside from the sense of fulfillment and personal satisfaction that volunteering gives to a person, the company has developed a reward program in which employees can earn prizes by being volunteers. Employees who volunteer their time with a local non-profit organization can complete an “Announcement Form” found in each office. The hours you report during the volunteer session will be recorded and will accumulate for prizes. The prizes may change according to availability.
- 5 hours 2 Movie tickets
- 10 hours To-Go Coffee Mug
- 15 hours Lunch Bag
- 25 hours $25 gift card to Starbucks
- 50 hours $50 gift certificate to Fry’s
- 100 hours $100 Gift Certificate to Fry’s
You may “spend” your hours or save them up for the larger items. But once spent, the hours start over. However, all hours logged will be counted for the High Achiever Awards.
What are the Higher Achiever Awards?
At the end of the current volunteer session (September 1, 2015 through March 31, 2016), we will award the company’s top five highest achievers with a grand prize. In addition, the employee with the most volunteer hours company-wide will be awarded a computer!! The High Achiever Awards will be presented in April 2016.
